Sarah Lens will be instructing the 2010 Buccaneer color guard.  Ms. Lens is originally from Independence where she was in color guard all four years of high school.  She is currently a student at UNI begining her third year in the education program, studying early childhood and elementary education.  She has participated in color guard with the Panther Marching Band at UNI for the last two years and will continue to perform with them this year in addition to instructing color guard at East Buchanan.

Ms. Lens will bring a variety of opportunities to the East Buchanan color guard including practice with guard techniques, routines, and skill-builders.  She also enjoys team building and bonding and enjoys incorporating an element of fun into the marching season.  Ms. Lens will work with the guard on a weekly basis and will help further the students' understanding of guard techniques and polish their performance through sectionals.  If you have any questions about this year's guard or joining color guard, contact Mr. McBride!
